Design of a mobile system for collaborative learning in a gamified quest based environment
Mobile devices have become more and more popular, which can facilitate data collection, process and analysis, and the high interactivity that supports collaboration and communication among students handy. Gamification can be defined as the use of game mechanics in several everyday activities. It intends to use elements of games to cause a similar involvement in non-game environments (Wu, 2012). It is aimed to design a mobile collaborative learning system with gamification techniques which would be a great help to students by take advantage of the motivational power of games and apply it in learning setting. This study aims to adopt gamified learning strategy and combine game elements with well-designed mobile learning activities by using Corona SDK programming language for k12 education.
